A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Ilaria - the crazy enthusiastic human you’ll see constantly smiling from ear to ear behind the camera.
I was born and raised in Italy (because where else could a daydreaming romantic like me be from?) but my passion for photography, traveling and foreign languages is what brought me to Vancouver. I studied professional photography at VanArts and have been working as a wedding and lifestyle photographer since graduating.
Some time ago I would have described myself as a perfectionist but, to be honest, I’ve come to dislike the term: I think perfection doesn’t exist, and thank goodness it doesn’t. Our imperfections (or rather, the things we see as such) are what makes us human, unique and beautiful, and that’s what I want to celebrate in my work.
So, instead, I will say that I’m extremely dedicated and passionate about what I do, I pour my whole heart into it and I won’t stop until I know I’ve done my very best and I’m proud of what I’ve created.

Random things about me:
• I love traveling and learning about different cultures – I feel most creative when I’m exploring new places and I’m constantly adding to my destination wedding bucket list
• I’m an open book, honest to a fault and I value communication, honesty and authenticity above everything else
• I’m a night owl, so don’t be surprised if I deliver your photo gallery at 3-4am
• I’m a big movie geek, but also just a geek in general about art, music, books, video games, escape rooms etc, and I vibe best with people who have stars in their eyes when they talk about the things they’re passionate about
• I have a degree in foreign languages and literature – I’m fluent in English and Italian, and I speak French and Spanish (I studied both for 8 years but I should practice them more)
